How are Motors build?

The wire will become magnetized when it receives energy, and when it does from the battery, the magnet will start pulling it down or up depending on the poles of attraction. The copper wire moves because it has a magnetic force once it is connected to the battery and would repel or attract to the magnet that will cause it to spin around.

In the other motor below, the magnet will still cause the copper wire to spin because it is receiving magnetism from the battery and the magnet is working against it.
